| I installed your update from september 20, and noticed that when I bring up some customers from the rentout/return screen, they are not showing the movies they have rented. When I check the movie codes in movie inquiry it shows them as rented to the customer. Tried re-indexing, problem still remains. (posted - 25.September.2006.8.21.am) -- | |
| Hi David, After you have installed the Apex upgrade and after you have re indexed - exit out of Rapid Rental completely and navigate to the VIDEO folder (sub directory). Locate the program called speedup.exe and run it. You have 2 choices here - speedup (which actually means re index) the lates file or the transaction file. You actually need to do both of them. So, first off do the lates file (it's pretty quick) and then run the program again and choose to speedup the transaction file (this one takes a bit longer). AFter it's done - run the Rapid Rental program the same way you normally do, do a quick re index and you will find that you can view all the lates information and transaction history on all your customers again. Let me know that this helped you? Kind Regards Phil (posted - 25.September.2006.8.30.am) -- ReturnTheSpaceBarAndNobodyGetsHurt | |
| followed instructions, movies are still not being listed in rentout/return screen (posted - 25.September.2006.8.50.am) -- | |
| C C A H 3 is the sequence you need - my apologies I misunderstood your requirement ... this will display the movies with due dates on the customer record when doing a transaction. Let me know Thanks Phil (posted - 25.September.2006.9.18.am) -- ReturnTheSpaceBarAndNobodyGetsHurt | |
| Tried your suggestion, still movies are not being displayed in the rentout/return screen. C-C-A-H was set to show movies, I tried the other options as well, still no luck. The problem does not seem to be for all customers, I have only noticed it so far for a few. When I bring up there account in the rentout/return screen no movies are listed on screen, when in fact they have movies rented. I know this by checking there tranaction history and also checking the movies in movie inquiry. (posted - 25.September.2006.9.29.am) -- | |
| Hello David, Some questions for you: 1. What Program Version Build number were you on before updating (C-6). 2. What has changed other then applying the program update? 3. Have you had other errors in rapid rental recently - if so what are/were the error messages. 4. The movies that have now disappeared off the cusotmer accounts but are still in the history and out - were they involved in Alt-S frozen transactions?
Thanks, | |
| I was running on apex build 45, updated apr 26/06. Nothing has changed other than the update. I have had no errors before this. The movies have not been involved in a frozen transaction. If I restore back to the update release on apr 26/06, the movies are displayed its only when the new update is applied. (posted - 25.September.2006.5.27.pm) -- | |
